Colorado State University-Pueblo, along with representatives from the Greater Pueblo Chamber and the Latino Chamber of Commerce, conducted a grand opening ceremony unveiling The Student Recreation Center on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008.
The $10.1 million student funded 43,000 square-foot Student Recreation Center building will feature:- Cardiovascular and strength & conditioning areas
- An aerobics dance room
- Experiential Learning Center Programs, meeting area and equipment rental space
- A multi-court gymnasium with an elevated 1/9th mile running track
- Locker rooms
- Unisex changing room
- A lounge with café and outdoor seating
- Multi-purpose room
- A health/wellness/nutrition suite, and control desk/reception area.
- The existing racquetball courts and swimming pool areas will receive some renovation as part of the project.
